New Phone First Look: Pantec Reveal

I recently got my phone, Pantec Matrix stolen so AT&T had sent me a new one quite shortly. I was expecting another Matrix but apparently they don't make them anymore or there were no more models or something or other. So instead they sent me the Pantec Reveal. It's another basic sliding messaging phone. The feel of it first out of the box was a bit different from my Matrix. It had a plastic backing which is good because it wont cause fingerprints but then again it's not very luxourious. The front look is the screen and basic numerical buttons along with a messaging shortcut, clear button, and pick up and exit calls. Very light-weight, but i hadn't put part of the backing in yet. It was very simple to slide open. It would slide and sort of lock into place very quickly and with a good force, opening up to a full QWERTY keyboard. The keys were a bit more spaced together for my taste. When typing it was a kind of clickety-clack but thats alright. Can't wait to actually turn it on! My mom wont give it life until I complete 10 pages of math. Only 7 more to go!

Much Love,

A cappella

A cappella. The wikipedia definition is:

"music is solo or group vocal or singing without instrumental sound"

I had been on my normal YouTube music rush, going through EVERYTHING (and I do mean everything) that has any type of musicality to it and I stumbled upon a favorite song of mine, "So Much in Love" by All for One. There are singing this in a cappella the whole way through acompanied by snapping and that whimsical chime thingies. That's it. And the way they harmonize is just beautiful. It got me thinking about how much talent it takes to perform a cappella. You'll need crazy perfection in vocals to get it just right, obviously but also in timing. One falty note coming from one person could really make or break the song. NSYNC also is a very gifted a cappella group. So, I TRIED to add a few links for you to check out what I have been, BUT I FAILED. So just type the names into YouTube, I'm sure it's gonna be about the first result. Leave your opinion and comment to me. Aren't these awesome?!

Much Love,

RIP MJ

365 days ago, our world grieved a loss of the one and only King of Pop Michael Jackson. But all I have to say is MJ never dies. Long live the King.

Lion Burgers YUMMM!

Owner of 'il Vinaio' restaurant in Arizona, Cameron Selogie had dreamed to give his customers a "South African Expirience" during the World Cup. And how exactly does he do this? He decided to use lion's meat in his burgurs. He'd mix in the lion's meat with the ground beef. Yeah, he surely couldn't have...oh, I don't know... changed the interior of his restaurant or redecorated. Nope, this genius decided to make lion burgurs. It just sounds weird, right. Lion burgers. This guy ordered 10 pounds of lion's meat from some middle-of-nowhere farm in Illinois but don't worry! He reasearched the place to make sure they were humane. Yes, it's very humane of you to buy lions meat in the first place. And how the heck did this little farm in Illinois get the meat? And then, all these animal activist got on his case. These guys were seriously pissed off too! Selogie had gotten a bomb threat on the restaurant and over 150 e-mails from protesters. And what he said to them was that african lions are on the protected list not the endangered list, duh! That just makes it all the more better, right? I would be mad too if I realized some smart-ass was puting lion's meat in our burgurs! That just disgusting. I wonder what it tasted like? I wonder if he even told these people that, "Hey, by the way, we've added a new ingredient to our burgers." The people are chewing on it right now and say all concerned, "What?" He just smiles and says, "It's lions meat." And this is where the customer spits. Did he change up the kids menu too? Instead of chicken fingers, lion fingers!!! Geeze this story was really dumb when I heard it. Bottom line: You don't put lions meat into people's food! I don't think they'd be very appriciative. If you want a "South African" feel to your restaurant, get a decorator!

Book Updates

I was so very pleased I finally got to splurge on new reads for myself at Boarders with my gift cards from Christmas! First book I got was Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen for about six bucks I think it came up to. And the second was a beautiful hardcover picture scrapbook of Michael Jackson through the years. I absolutely loved looking at the pictures because when I did, there were three generations admiring them including my grandma, my mother, and myself. It takes a mighty special someone to carry enjoyable music from generation to generation and Michael can do that plus so much more. I hate going to boarders because I can never decide on what I want to read! I wish to buy them all. I was originally looking for a book called Theater Geek but I could never find it. And then I got side-tracked by the plays and Les Misrebles and what not. Geeze, Boarders is like my Playland.

CAUTION: Dark poetry ahead!

I just realized I haven't written a poem in quite some time! And I had originally promised to satisfy your poem-tooth and gosh darnnit, I should keep my word. This is really rough but enjoy! (I'm making up fake characters. Desaray is a demon in a form of Hell. Beelzebub is the devil. In this poem, the person is sort of falling and jumping. While doing this, she sees glimpses of Hell but then makes it to Heavan.)

Silence engulfs me,
Tears brim.
And I start to wonder what could've been.
What did I do?
What did I say?
What have I caused, only my dismay.
Desaray.
Who is she?
She is hiding with a key.
A black key, at that.
Locked under a hat,
Waiting to bring you down.
Beelzebub smiles.
Shudders run down.
But too little too late,
I'm gone with a pound.
A mere simple pound of the beat of my heart,
As cold as stone,
No life on the chart.
But as I become gone, I enter to a haven.
Guided by friends and the little black raven.
All is okay, I know to be true.
For whenever I look up, the skies are blue.

This Is It

It truly is. Last day of school tommorow. No, I am not sad BECAUSE it hasn't even sunken in that I won't get to see my dorks seven hours a day, 5 days a week anymore. I loooooooove them with all my heart! They are my family, no doubt about it. I hope they remember this year because we learned a lot. I truly hope they remeber what Mr. H said. He told us the truth and it's sad to see him move on to the next class. He is incredible and guess what guys: whatever he does (lectures and punishing us included), he's doing it because he loves us. I will miss him very very much including all my class. We added 4 lovely newcomers to our family (Celia, Alli-Gee, Rahul, and Ryan) and fortunantly they fit right in! We love them and I hope in time, they love us right back! There is a road ahead, and ours will always meet in the center. It blows my mind to see time traveling this fast. In literally a blink of an eye, it became the of the year. This is scary. I'm running out of time to let everyone know I love them and will never forget about them. They will forever be part of my heart and I'd walk a thousand miles for them. We've seen losses in our year, we've seen gains. I've felt something I've never felt before, but most importantly I think it's the tears we shed together that multiply into the utmost form of love, and it just warms my heart. I love you, point blank. Thank you for putting up with my silliness. I write this as the pettiest form of recompense. You all deserve a thousand words. Ending on a quote,

“How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?”
-Dr. Suess

With more love than you could imagine in your craziest dreams,

All the Single Ladies

So today was a bit of a roller coaster day. My beau and I of quite a while decided to break up. He was my 1st boo and 1st kiss so o'course I was a bit upset (he was lovely by the way) but then again I want him to be happy and it just wasn't with me. Fortunantly we can still be freinds. He was very considerate of how I felt. I'm sorry I wasted his time. And who knows what the future holds. But I am 100% perfectly perfect with being fwends. And I'm happy I'll get to see him in High School. It kinda made sense we cut the strings because he's graduating tomorrow (Friday, June 4th) and I still got a year. You know what's funny? I prayed to God last night "my Lord, whatever happens with him, I know it's in your hands". So, I suppose there has to be something there. I will (quote from my teacher) "build a bridge and get over it". But I did care about him very much, and still do but as a freind. So a very sincere buhbyee I wave to the past, and a whole lot of opportunities I now can start ponderin' at.
