I'm waiting for the day. . .

I am waiting for the day when people watch my films or watch my plays and will burst out crying. I'm waiting for the day when the magic of theatre and the magic of cinema will once again engulf people in not only entertainment but, comedy, drama, joy, and sheer happiness. Nine out of fourteen years I have been schooling and I haven't learned half of what the world has to offer. I'm ready to learn about it all and continue to experience and live. Living imperfect lives full of mistakes here and there that you learn from is good and healthy. Life is beautiful and precious and magic is always around us. Just keep living everyone! Live with love and with a little hard work, dreams really do come true if you believe!

Love very much,
MNT

Relationship Map

Relationships nowadays go a little somethin like this: being initially attracted to someone or "liking someone" if you will, getting to know this one person more, getting sooooo dang happy that this awesome-ass person is in your life and wants you. Then you get into the bliss, which is a nice, happy-go-lucky, lovey-dovey relationship full of kisses and rainbows. Then, you come out of the relationship high and actually look at what's goin on and it's like, "Who are all these people trying to flirt with mah man??? Were they there before?". Then it's like grrrrrrrr, I'm jealous because I love this person so much and even though he's not even doing anything with anyone else, I'm still jealous. Then, your dude is like what the helllll is wrong with her, I'm not doing anything. Then you kiss him and it's all better. It goes more into the happy rainbow relationship and during this period, it goes like this:

:D Your really happy; everything's good again

:) This is goin good; This person's still for you

:[ What? No of course not. He's not cheating on me.

:( He couldn't; He wouldn't

>:'( How could he.

:'( Maybe it'll change

You come to the moment where you have to ask yourself, "Are you gonna be the grumpy little party pooper in this relationship and be lame and end it or are you gonna dream that this person is still yours?" Some choose to end it, which ends up in a no-contact situation with their ex and others choose to stick it out and get dumped, even though deep down they knew it was time. The worst-case thing that could possibly happen is, after getting dumped, you and your ex no longer talk and your in this awkward mess where one doesn't know what to say to the other. Even though all one of them wants to say is "What's up? How've you been? How's your life? What's going on?". Nothing more. It's not like we're gonna gang up on him and beat him into a brick wall and be like "WHY'D YOU DUMP ME BEEEEEYOTCH?!". They just wanna be able to talk, see how your doing, see if they needa talk to someone and know that you are always listening. It's so simple, so why can't I even say hi?

MNT's Diary: UNCUT

UNTAMED AND UNCUT: YOUR ABOUT TO ENTER MNT'S MIND!!! (this is actually a pretty boring post haha. A thousand apologies for no picture. I'm on my sister's Mac and I don't know how to copy and paste. Fail, I know.)

[This is an actual excerpt from my actual diary that I actually started writing in again...actually.]

10/11/10
Dear Mysterious Diary Person who never reveals who he is,
As I reach the peak of graduation, the question comes up many a time of what I want to do for the rest of my life and the golden answer is: PERFORM. Yesss, I have observed how much utter joy I have in saying clever things and people listening or laughing. AND OF COURSE being on stage. I love it. I think even if I sucked balls at dance and performing, I'd still do it. I can't wait to tear up the stage for the Christmas Play >:). We need the new script!!! Music and Singing is my other after school program and I love it to death
a) because all my friends are in it ('cept Danielle :'( ) and
b) I FREAKING LOVE MUSIC!
Ohmigosh, I love it! I would literally die without music.
I'm very happy and lucky to have the friends, life, and personality I have. Is it perfect. . . ehhh c'mon. Nothing can be perfect But is it pretty dang good? In my opinion Hell yah!

Gosh, I sound so conceited! Hahaha! Geeze, Meg! Welp, there you have it. I cross my heart, I didn't change anything from the capitalization to the grammar this was all in my 'sofisticat' diary that I've had since I was 10. Wait'll ya hear them when I was 10!!!

Have a week filled with Much Love,
MNT

I was an odd child. . . LOVE SPELL

I made this when I was about ten. . . . . . yeah. I can't really say anything more :D. Enjoy my silly child-like spells of love.

Magic...and mischief of all kinds the same...
Please use your talents to fix me my love game.
For he is special... he forever will make me smile.
But I’ve been waiting for a while.
So now I come to you today... and request the bird of love.
Yes, this is what I need... a simple guidance white dove.
Send to him the sweetest of thoughts... and yes of only me.
Do not fail! For this is the answer to my plea.
7 times I rip thy heart... this is the feeling of when we’re apart.
7 times I rip heart mine... to bind our souls with love divine.
Our hearts become one. And now the magic’s almost done.
The love will only begin when thrown into fire, our hearts must be.
For only then it begins to beat, with my inevitable love with he.

Much Magical Love,
MNT

I'm giving my blog a makeover for Halloween time! Whaddu ya think?!

Motown=MNTtown!!!

Another year of school means another year of stuff, and I mean A LOT of it including 8th grade drama, student council, dance, all my sister's stuff, annnnd music and singing (or glee). The past two weeks we've been going over the motown era of music, and what a mighty era it was! Breaking up into small groups, we formed ourselves after our chosen song, Where Did Our Love Go by The Supremes. I don't know about you, but this era of music sure is addicting (and NO I'm not gushing over it because The Jackson 5 were big then... mostly xP). Anyways, the only bad part about all this wonderful wonderful stuff is that I have no time to blog=(. I'm terribly sooorry! YouTube motown hits and tell me whatcha think! Mwah!

Much Love,
M N T

Islamic Community Center being Built Near Ground Zero Debate: Pro
By: Megan N. Tierney

An Islamic community center including a mosque is said to be built two blocks away from the Ground Zero memorial site in New York City, New York. Many controversies have flared up in this topic and it's an extremely difficult choice on which way to think about this incident. After pondering everything as much as I could, I came to conclude that I accept this idea in America, however I find it only necessary to put myself in both positions and then give the reason of my acceptance for this community center.

I can completely understand the reason people are upset about this project being built where it is planned, about two blocks away from Ground Zero. The radical-Islamic terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11th, 2001 caused a surge of the most negative frenzy in America that we only see in the movies. Sadly, many parents, daughters, sisters, brothers, dear friends, grandparents, aunts and uncles, excreta, all had to face the harshest reality that a dearly loved one is dead. Not only dead, but murdered out of an act of violence, hatred, and pure unjust from another human being. It is a touchy subject for many families to this day and the years to come. So, why then build an Islamic community center two blocks away from the site?

Charles Wolf has called it “an example of American tolerance”. I do understand his words and it certainly would basically show America “being the bigger man” but I don't think that's the entire reasoning for going through with this community center. I first thought of how many Muslims were against these terrorist attacks in the name of their religion. How ashamed we all felt, including Muslims. Islamic religion is a peaceful, loving religion whose followers are to be a person of deep faith, following the script of the Holy Qur’an. Certainly, 9/11 was not something that many Muslims held their head high over. I believe if people go about their business and handle the reality of the community center in an adult-like manor, people wouldn't make such a big fuss over a basic American right. Although, how likely is it that we as opinionated people in America will stay quiet about it. There are almost inevitably will be protesting problems in the area, which is very unfortunate because I believe there to be nothing wrong with the location of the community center. The victims of 9/11 will be commemorated in the hearts and minds of many families in there own memorial site (it's not as if they're building the community center directly on Ground Zero). To those who deem the Islamic community center a disrespectful jeer to the memorial site of 9/11, I couldn't very well say your opinion is wrong. I simply find myself in the position of being a pro in this subject. From all my research, I also feel I'm standing a bit out-numbered.

I believe that the Muslim community has the same right as any Americans to build a place for worship, community, and play. It is, after all, a community center. It's just a place for having fun for the Muslim community. I don't think the Muslims should be automatically judged because of circumstances in the past that they might not have been agreeing to.

Reflection

Finally, at half past two,
My mind sails peacefully away to sleep.
Peaceful journey but horrid outcome.
A room of black,
Except for the glimmering silver mirror.
What a gorgeous mirror,
As if made from silver snow and rain.
Walking towards it makes you feel weightless.
But when looking into it,
Bricks begin to replace your feet.
Who is that girl?
Who's confused reaction is starring back at you?
As I put my hand up, so does she at the exact same time.
Could it be?
Could it be that I don't recognize my own self.
Enough of this!
And the mirror finally shatters into trillions of pieces.
As the mirror breaks, so do I from unconsciousness.
A dream.
It was just a dream.
Just a nightmare.
As I walk to my own mirror and peer through,
The reflection is someone I know and love.
Never again shall a beautiful mirror turn me into my own stranger.
